Adrenal Support – Cutting Back on Caffeine

When the adrenals experience too much stress, they have to work harder to produce more energy, which depletes our adrenal glands. Things to avoid include caffeine, ephedra, caffeinated soda, and prescription stimulants.

To avoid over stressing the adrenal system, you should consider lowering your sugar intake, eat plenty of protein and foods that contain fiber. Instead of eating three large meals each day, try eating more frequently throughout the day. Eating several small meals a day, will help sustain your bodies energy levels. Sugar and simple carbohydrates put unneeded stress on the adrenal glands. By making healthier food choices when we eat, we are able to stabilize our blood sugar levels.
