The adrenal glands are located on top of the kidneys. They are responsible for producing a number of hormones like adrenalin,cortisol and DHEA. These are the hormones that motivate us to act when a stressful situation arises. But in today’s times we face stress several times a day and we are constantly thinking about the things we have to deal with on a daily basis. This puts our adrenal glands under a lot of stress, causing adrenal exhaustion.

When we our minds and bodies are put under a lot of stress the adrenal glands release adrenalin and nor-adrenalin to help us deal with the situation at hand. You have probably heard of the “fight or flight” response. Our bodies are supposed to return to a normal state after a stressful situation has passed. Unfortunately we tend to be stressed out all the time. This results in our hormones not returning back to normal levels.

After awhile our adrenals become exhausted if they are continually being stimulated. As a result our bodies produce abnormally low amounts of stress hormones. This is why we become anxious, tired and overly exhausted.

You can deal with adrenal exhaustion by eating certain foods that will help you body to maintain its health. Eating balanced meals,making sure you get enough vegetables in your diet along with protein with each meal will make a great difference.

Supplements are important as well. There are supplements on the market that are specifically made to deal with adrenal exhaustion.It’s an extra vitamin to throw into the pile but it’s certainly worth it. Feeling tired all the time can take the fun out of life.

You can also take steps to reduce your stress levels. Find the best way to deal with stress, a way that works for you. If you stress about small things like getting the dishes done and house work done everyday, maybe those dishes aren’t that important after all.However, your stress levels are!

If there are bigger things haunting you through out the day, tryto deal with them the best you can. Get these things taken care of.And try not to worry about things that you can’t change. We tend to worry a lot, but worrying doesn’t necessary help. Let it go.

Try to set aside some time to relax each day. Take a yoga class.If you fill like you don’t have time, take 5 or 10 minutes out of your day to do some breathing exercises. You can look up on the internet how this technique works. And it really does calm the soul.

Remember, before success, before money, before everything else should come your health.
